Healthy and instagramable food at Byoko

Located at la plaza La Merced Byoko is a true paradise to all those looking for healthy, tasty, colourful food. Whether you are looking for breakfast or lunch Bioko offers a delicious menu with a great selection for both the smaller and bigger hunger. During our last visit to Malaga Spain we eat our breakfast at Byoko all days as we simply cannot get enough of their açaí bowl, chia pudding, matcha latte and sweets. So sooo good and refreshing on the hot summer mornings in the centrum of Malaga. They do also offer a wide range of bowls with vegetables and salads as well as smoothies, juices, crossaints and cakes. Byoko is also very allergy friendly and the menu will guide you for the most common ones. For example Cille eats a gluten- and milk free diet and had the acai bowl as it holds gluten-free granola (sooo good), chia pudding with fresh fruits and juices. You find Byoko at two locations in Malaga Spain so please see the addresses below.

AlCasaBar in Malaga for tasty tapas and colorful drinks

Looking for a place to have a late lunch, dinner or cocktails in Malaga, Spain? AlCasabar might be for you! Not only do they offer the most authentic and beautilful looking Spanish tapas, also they serve delicious newly baked crepes,  international food, smoothies and delightful cocktails. Not only is AlCasabar centrally located at the Historic Center at Plaza de la Juderia, just a few meters beneath La Alcazaba Castle, but at the same time it is hidden in a corner of a small alley, which made so peacefully undisturbed. We loved this place very much after exploring the city a couple of hours in the hot sun!
One of the things we love the most about the Spanish cuisine in general is that much of the food and tapas are prepared to be shared. To us this is just the perfect opportunity to try new food and be challenged with new tastes without being concerned about food waste. And this was no exception at AlCasabar and for that reason we ordered a bunch of different tapas and dishes from the menu at Alcasabar to share and it really did not disappoint. It was SO good! We ordered the Patatas Bravas with hot sauce, the Octupus with rice and of course the traditional Pimientos Padrons. Highly recommend to try more! Also, do not miss to try some of their colorful, elegant drinks! Unfortunetely we didn’t try ourselves but people around us got served the most beautiful ones. AlCasabar might  be a pretty OK place in Malaga to be thirsty.. and hungry so watch out for this one when planning where to eat Malaga Spain 😉  Salud! (cheers)

Pez Wanda as a Culinary Gem in Malaga

When exploring the culinary landscape and wondering where to eat in Malaga look no further than the excellent restaurant Pez Wanda. This is absolutely a good choice for dinner! You find Pez Wanda in the vibrant heart of the city and it is an gastronomic heaven for travelers.
Pez Wanda is known for its fusions of the traditional Andalusians flavors and more innovative modern cuisine. This means that if you are going with some of the traditional Spanish dishes from the menu card they will probably be served with a small touch that makes it a bit more interesting or new to you. We loved this approach very much after a couple of days with looooots of Andalusian classics. We had the Albóndigas de vaca madurada con salsa de tomates, which was kind of meatballs with a roasted tomato sauce, and it was super tasty. Also we ordered the  green gyozas with mushrooms, pork and peanutsauce and the roasted aubergines with green pepper sauce and potato straws. All of this was incredieble but you can check out their full menu here ! Also it was very easy to find out information in relation to allergies from the menu card which Cille loved very much. Pez Wanda is an excellent choice when wondering where to eat Malaga, Spain.

Antigua Casa de Guardia in Malaga Spain

This one you CANNOT skip during your time in Malaga and when wondering where to eat in Malaga Spain! To be honest, in here the food is not in centre, but the drinks. Dating back to 1840  Antigua Casa de Guardia is the oldest winebar in all of Malaga. In our opinion this place offer the most authentic experience for drinking and eating in all of Malaga. Especially due to the fact that the bar is maintained with its original character and function from back then. It is a no-nonsense kind of bar, meaning you will not find anything superfluous, but a long standing-bar designed to enjoy the Spanish, dessertwines while talking to your friends. So traditional!
From outside it does not look like anything special, but just behind the antique wooden swing door you find a true time warp. The whole place is filled with old wooden wine barrels and the traditional, well-dressed men behind the bar serve either sweet og dry cherry wine of different kinds. And you should definetely go try some different ones as the servings come in small glasses. The most retro and authentic thing  was when the wineman just wrote the price with chalk at the desk and then left with confidence to our payment. The price was 1.70 euros each serving which was incredible cheap compared to how magic the wine and the experience was in total! It tasted SO good.
And do not worry Antigua Casa de Guardia is included in this blogpost about where to eat in Malaga Spain as you will also find tapas to please your tastebuds at this place. In the middle of the bar you find a showcase with simple tapas like prawns, sausages and other seafoods. Antigua Casa de Guardia is an unforgettable experience when in Malaga Spain.
